Stories

This isn’t a gallery of finished portraits. It’s a living collection of voices, faces, and river currents—sometimes flowing together, sometimes colliding.

Every person, salmon, and stretch of river in this watershed has a story. Some are old, some are just beginning. Some agree, some don’t. That’s the point.

Add Your Voice

Here we’re sharing short films, raw conversations, fine art, photos, and written vignettes—snapshots of what it means to belong to this place, in all its complexity. We’re gathering stories from tribal fishers, berry farmers, dairy workers, civic leaders, neighbors, and the river itself. What magic might these stories hold? We don’t know yet, but anticipate themes of tension, hope, loss, and the stubborn work of showing up.

We don’t just want the easy stories. We want the ones that make you pause, the ones that don’t fit neatly, the ones that remind us this watershed is held together by difference as much as by common ground.

Add your voice. Listen for others. Let the river speak.

This is a story that’s still being written. Dive in. Show up.
